ITSGA Congress

The First World Congress ITSGA (International traditional sports and games association) was in Verona, during Tocatì, from the 22 to 25 September 2011

ITSGA, International traditional sports and games association, born in 2009 in Aranda de Duero, Spain, aims to bring together associations, federations and continental groups working on the issues of traditional game, representing a world-wide network of traditional sports and games. Its primary objective is that of safeguarding , studying, promoting and developing their practice, in order to improve social health, intercultural dialogue and living conditions in the world.

The First World Congress ITSGA was an opportunity to reflect on the situation of the traditional game in the world, thanks to the presence of prof. Arnaldo Rivero Fuxa, President of CIGEPS (Intergovernmental Committee for Physical Education and Sport), an UNESCO body.
