Casa Colombare is a meeting place which has maintained the building’s original shape.

Former home of the park keeper, it is a prefabricated wood house of the early '60s (a construction system recently re-evaluated). Since there are only few buildings of this kind , its restoration  is even more relevant.

It is a lightweight construction, reminiscent of the typical American "balloon frame" structure .

There are only two prefabricated wood buildings of this kind in Verona, designed and built on a modular basis between 1959 and 1960 by the Bortolaso company: one in Via Ippolito Nievo, and one in Circonvallazione Raggio di Sole, both public parks.

The space can be used as conference room and educational laboratory, and offers projector and wireless connection. In addition, it has a small garden for outdoor activities. The building is fully accessible to people with disabilities. Its thermal insulated wall, heating system with condensing boiler, and  solar thermal system for domestic hot water production, ensure the containment of the building's energy needs.

On the west side towards the valley, we are going to build a small extension with an office and a terrace over the park. This future project would improve the relationship with the surrounding nature, where recreational activities take place.

The interior design is consistent with the project: in a square plant, the library continues along the walls  the modular design of the '60s. The tables also allow different modular arrangements.

The use of natural materials contributes to the harmony of the project. It is a place open to everyone and true to its original characteristics, to the great flexibility of use, and able to give value to the territory.
